A margarita is not supposed to be a 20oz drink packed with sugar and syrups. A margarita is a should be a balance of sweet and tart. That doesn’t mean you can’t have a fruity margarita (you can), it just means you should watch your size and sugar content!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Tequila

  • 1 oz Triple Sec (or any orange liqueur)

  • 3/4 oz Lime Juice, fresh

  • Ice

  • Garnish
  • Salt or Sugar Rim

  • Lime Slice / Wedge

Directions

  • Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
  • Fill shaker with ice.
  • Shake vigorously until shaker is ice cold (25 to 30 seconds).
  • Strain into glass.
  • Garnish & Enjoy.

Notes

  • You can serve your margarita with or without ice. Alternatively, you can blend the ingredients and have a slushy-style margarita.
